Search engine optimization or SEO has become unmissable part of digital marketing and part of Internet strategy in recent years. Main purpose of search engine optimization, making website or web page more visible in a web search engine’s natural results, has become target every company heavily relying on web visibility are striving for. 

There are lot of SEO companies that offer SEO services and will deal with optimization of website. These SEO services come at certain prices, depending on what they include and SEO company providing it. For those who do not want to hurt their wallet but still want somehow to optimize their sites there are SEO courses. On the Internet, a various free SEO courses are available and quite useful for the beginners.

One of the most popular SEO courses is “The SEO Guide” by the most reputable SEO company right now, Moz. This beginner’s guide to SEO covers the basics of search engine optimization all the way to the content marketing aspects. Everything is nicely divided into 10 chapters and very easy to follow. Once the beginner’s guide is successfully gone through, Moz has Advanced SEO: Tactics and Strategy where they explain how to use UX and social medias to promote websites. Additionally, they have the weekly updated vlog covering many subjects related to SEO and SEM (Search Engine Marketing), the Whiteboard Friday.

Besides SEO, Serpstat Academy is a good address to also find education about keywords research and search analytics. They have content for both beginners and those how have a bit advanced knowledge. Big advantage about SEO courses on Serpstat Academy is that they are based on Serpstat tool. This tool is an all-in-one SEO platform, where knowledge from lessons can be used on the project, so it learning with using information acquired.

Another well known SEO company, Wordstream, made guide to SEO basics. Their guide overs all the basics with useful tips and few examples.

Coursera is known to have a variety of different courses for almost all topics one can think of. That means that they also have SEO courses, ranging from those that maybe never heard about SEO to those for SEO specialists.

Also, a lot of digital marketing courses, like Google one, have parts dedicated to SEO and SEM. Google’s course explains Google Analytics, big part of search engine optimization. Another not really SEO-oriented source is Hubspot Academy. 

Their courses are oriented towards content marketing, but, similar with digital marketing, SEO is important part of this kind of marketing. That’s why even though they are not a SEO courses they provide knowledge about it, just with additional one which is also very useful.
